Summer Youth Program
Meadow Vue Ranch is a working ranch in Southeastern Idaho overlooking Henry's Lake, minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone Park and the Continental Divide. We pasture nearly a thousand yearling cattle and about a hundred mother cows. We also keep about seventy saddle horses, and teams of draft horses. Each summer we offer a variety of recreational activities on the ranch and in the surrounding area.
Our summer youth program is designed for boys and girls
ages nine through eighteen. Weekly sessions allow youth the opportunity to live
on a working ranch, ride horses, work with cowboys, and handle livestock. All
of our activities encourage self-confidence by learning practical skills and
development of personal responsibility. Participants will learn western horsemanship,
horse care and safety. Participants learn to do drills on horseback and rodeo
skills (with parental permission), such as barrel racing, pole bending,
rough stock, roping and goat tying. The ranch experience also includes scenic
trail rides, as well as participating in our rodeos and more. On Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday evenings everyone pitches in to be a part of our Old
West Bar-b-Que and Rodeo, which includes a western singer and line dancing.
The youth program week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. Participation
is limited to 15 youth in order to create a family atmosphere. Boys
and girls are housed separately. Our activities allow everyone to learn,
and each person can participate at their own ability and experience
level. Meadow Vue's well-trained staff includes veteran horse and livestock
people. All activities are carefully supervised.

Terms of payment are $150.00 (US dollars) deposit at the
time of registration and balance to be paid at time of arrival.
Rates include board and lodging, use of assigned ranch horses and equipment with instruction. Personal expenses, health and accident insurance and transportation to and from Meadow Vue Ranch are not included in this fee.

Cancellations: Each year there is a long waiting list for the
Youth Camp. Please notify Meadow Vue as soon as possible if your child cannot
attend as scheduled. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a later
time if space is available. Meadow Vue will refund deposits if notified
of a cancellation by April 1st. |
OTHER ARRANGEMENTS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- The ranch provides every reasonable safeguard for the health and welfare
of each guest,.but will not be responsible for accidents, sickness or lost
articles.
- No alcohol, tobacco or other illegal drugs may be brought to the ranch by
youths participating in the program.
- Please limit the amount of candy brought or sent the the ranch.
- Parent or guardian must sign the release on registration form for youth
to participate in any ranch activities.
- Parent or guardian must sign additional release on registration form for
youth to participate in rodeo rough stock activities.
- Transportation to and from West Yellowstone Montana is available for $20.00.
Transportation to or from Idaho Falls airport is available for $40.00 per
guest per trip.

You are welcome to bring your own riding gear, however the ranch has plenty of good equipment for use by guests.
